An intimacy coordinator is a trained professional responsible for ensuring the safe, consensual, and respectful depiction of intimate scenes in film, television, and theater. They work with actors, directors, and production teams to choreograph scenes involving physical touch, nudity, or simulated sex and other sensitive content while prioritizing the performers' boundaries and well-being. Their role includes script breakdowns, actor intakes, creating nudity riders, facilitating rehearsals, and overseeing closed-set protocols, all with a focus on informed consent and creative collaboration.

EDUCATION

"It’s not just about protection—it’s about freedom.
When boundaries are clear, creativity thrives.
When consent is established, storytelling deepens."

Currently based in Berlin, I completed her IC training with Principal Intimacy Professionals (CA), a company at the nucleus of defining the standard for intimacy work for film, television and theater, in 2024. I hold a Bachelor of Dance with a specialization in Choreography from ArtEZ in Arnhem, NL (2005).

In a world that increasingly demands more accountability from storytelling, especially where intimate content and vulnerability are at the core, I step in. With 20+ years experience as an independent choreographer and performing artist I’ve worked through the intricate dynamics of body and expression on stage, in front of the camera, and behind the scenes. Now, as an intimacy coordinator, I’m channeling all that expertise into creating safer, sharper, and ultimately more empowering creative spaces.

Every step of my process is grounded in informed consent, from the casting call to actor intakes, from the blocking rehearsal to  the nuanced conversations that happen before the camera rolls. It’s not just about protection—it’s about freedom. When boundaries are clear, creativity thrives. When consent is established, storytelling deepens.

I know how to hold space, read a room, and translate movement into meaning. Whether I’m facilitating a nudity rider, coordinating a complex intimate scene, or ensuring closed-set protocols are in place, I move with precision. My work is as much about empowerment as it is about technique. And yes, I have training in mental health first aid, conflict management, and DEI (diversity, equality and inclusion) principles—because navigating delicate subject matter with humanity isn’t just an option; it’s the expectation.

I work across film, television, video games, and advertising, where body politics, intimacy, and emotional landscapes require experts who aren’t afraid to dig deep. I’m the one you want in your corner when the stakes are high, and the material needs authenticity.

What I offer is full service intimacy coordination—sharp, capable, deeply informed, and ultimately transformative. I’ll empower your performers, streamline your process, save you money and ensure the only thing your audience is thinking about is how powerful the work is, not how it was made.
